About this course
This workshop introduces participants to making video games by building different games that increase in difficulty and complexity to help cover different game types, mechanics, and principles, while also introducing homework and assignments for participants to attempt on tackling challenges individually and start developing their skills and problem solving techniques.
Course Highlight
Participants would come out of this workshop knowing how to use Unity game engine to make 2D and 3D games across different genres and types. Participants would also learn how to design games and take game making in a more holistic approach.
About the Instructor

Dirar Zubair Al-Rashoud
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Kuwait in 2025. He is currently a government employee specializing in information systems, programming, and software design. He has been a video game designer and programmer and a coordinator of local and international game jam events from 2016 to 2023. Dharar has presented introductory workshops on game development using the Unity video game engine at the Gulf University for Science and Technology, Gulf University, and Coded.
